Intro & New Features
The Bauer Vapor X3.7 INT Hockey Stick is an excellent pickup for any player looking for high-end performance without breaking the bank. The X3.7 has replaced the X2.7 with some big upgrades in performance. Consistent with the rest of the line, Bauer has reduced the overall weight of the stick, and has transitioned from QRT to Bauer’s XE Taper technology. Needless to say, this is an excellent stick that has raised the bar in performance. There isn’t another stick at this price point in the market that is loaded with this much technology.
Stick Flex Profile
With the X3.7, Bauer decided to transition away from QRT in the X2.7 to the XE Taper technology. The tapered portion is slightly more narrow which reduces the overall weight of the stick. The taper also has a softened portion that increases release speed. The new taper geometry also improves blade stability and reduces torsional shift when shooting.
Shaft Construction
The X3.7 is built with unidirectional carbon fiber and features a HP mold. This fiber is durable and responsive that helps the stick play like an elite-level stick.
Blade Construction & Stiffness
The MaxBalance blade can be found across the Vapor line and uses reinforced edges to allow for a lightweight core. This maintains the stiff shot profile while reducing stick weight and improving balance.
Graphics
Bauer decided to go with a more traditional approach to the Vapor X3.7 graphic. The base coat of the stick consists of a deep red complemented with bright red accents to give it that nice shelf appeal.
Grip
The Bauer Vapor X3.7 Intermediate Hockey Stick is equipped with the standard Vapor grip. The entirety of the stick is covered in a clear coat that adds a bit of tackiness to the stick for improved control.
