Intro/New Features
Engineered alongside the player AG5NT stick, the Proto-V goalie stick was developed with the unrestricted creative minds of Bauer’s Research and Development team. The Proto-V is Bauer’s lightest goalie stick to date at 575g (SR), and it still maintains many of Bauer’s key goalie stick features, including Advanced Carbon Layering 2.0 technology, Connectech, and a Tri-Bridge Air Paddle construction. The Proto-V is neither a Vapor nor a Supreme stick.
Shaft Construction
The shaft utilizes both Advanced Carbon Layering 2.0 (ACL) and Connectech technology to keep the stick both tough and lightweight. ACL 2.0 adds strategic layering throughout the shaft for a more reinforced construction, while Connectech is a responsive rubber layer in the handle that improves impact absorption and durability.
Paddle Construction
The Tri-Bridge Air Paddle on the Proto-V stick uses a triple-stanchion construction for better reinforcement while also reducing weight.
Blade Construction/Stiffness
The blade also uses ACL 2.0, similar to the shaft, for added toughness and control when taking in impact shots and passing. The stick also inherits the Expancel Bridge core from the Mach, which is designed to enlarge and contract depending on the impact taken, enhancing the stick’s overall durability.
Graphics
The Proto-V graphics are a clean, new, and low-profile look for Bauer sticks. It is mainly black and grey with darker gold and silver accents. The text along the stick outlines the technology used, in addition to some of the materials.
Grip
The stick uses Pentagrip, which can also be found on Bauer’s other top-of-the-line goalie sticks. This grip style combines a soft, grippy texture with a five-sided shaft for a strong hold on your stick when needed.
Blade Patterns, Paddle Lengths, Stick Lengths, Weight, Level of Play
The Proto-V goalie stick is a limited edition prototype and only comes in Black with a P31 curve. Length options include 25”, 26”, and 27” (L only).
