Be quick like never before with the reimagined Vapor series of hockey sticks. The Vapor X5 Pro looks to offer elite-level performance as part of Bauer’s most responsive stick family yet, with features including a spread tow carbon weave in the shaft and an Energy Core 3 blade.
Stick Profile
The Vapor series is Bauer’s low-kick stick family, meaning this stick is optimized for quick and explosive shots. The low-kick point is positioned near the bottom of the shaft, allowing players to generate maximum energy transfer from the blade to the puck during snap shots and wrist shots. This design works well for players who prioritize speed in their shooting technique. The lightning-fast release makes the stick ideal for fast-paced gameplay and situations where a quick shot is crucial. The rapid energy transfer allows players to release the puck with minimal windup, catching goaltenders off guard and increasing the chances of scoring goals.
Shaft Construction
The stick incorporates a spread tow carbon weave, a technology that optimizes the arrangement of carbon fibers for improved strength and weight reduction. This design ensures the stick delivers a responsive feel and maximizes energy transfer during shots and passes. Additionally, the stick has been crafted using an HP mold, which ensures consistent and precise manufacturing, which results in a shaft with exceptional energy transfer for powerful shots and improved puck feel.
Blade Construction
The Energy Core 3 blade is crafted from 100% carbon fiber and incorporates dual carbon ridges, which facilitates quick puck release with precision in any situation. Like in the shaft, the blade has also been reinforced with spread tow carbon, further enhancing responsiveness and puck feel, allowing players to maintain better control and accuracy during gameplay.
Graphics
The design of the X5 Pro is darker than others in the newly updated Vapor series, being majorly black in colour with various red accents across the shaft.
Grip
The stick uses a glossy grip to enhance your hold on the stick and puckhandling.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The Vapor X5 Pro Intermediate stick comes in the following blade patterns: P88, P92, and P28.
P88 is a relatively traditional curve. A popular choice in the past, it excels greatly in stickhandling, quick wrist shots, and controlling snap shots.
P92 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
