CCM’s next chapter in the Jetspeed stick line is the brand new FT5 Pro, engineered for the player who just wants to do it all. The FT5 Pro took various technologies and materials from previous pro-series CCM sticks, in addition to debuting some enhancements and new materials to reach this next level. Some tech you’ll find in the stick include Nanolite Carbon Layering, Skeleton+ taper technology, and an optimized RR-90 blade, among other innovations.
Stick Flex Profile
Created by CCM specifically to define its Jetspeed line, the hybrid kick point is a close cousin of the mid kick and was made for players who cover a variety of positions across the ice. This stick is a true jack-of-all-trades design that flexes along the shaft depending on your hand position and adapts to the play; whether you need a low or mid kick flex point, the hybrid kick point has your back. This kick point acts as a hinge to empower your shots when loading.
Shaft Construction & Stiffness
The FT5 Pro uses much of the same shaft construction that worked before and in previous high-end CCM sticks. Nanolite Carbon Layering returns to Jetspeed and continues to give the stick both elite durability and a light weight. The stick also continues to use a round “R” geometry to blend a traditional feel with enhanced grip and control. The new Sigma STP spread tow carbon weave material found in both the shaft and blade augments durability and performance.
Blade Construction
The RR-90 blade continues to be used on the highest-end Jetspeed sticks and offers a great balance between stability and pop with its Damp-Core and Peel-ply, in combination with the new Stigma STP weave. The stick still uses a Skeleton+ taper for greater hosel strength just when you need it.
Graphics
Staying true to the Jetspeed line, the FT5 Pro has a primarily red and black colouration. The stick showcases a brand new, cleaner Jetspeed logo, in addition to speed line designs all along the shaft.
Grip
The FT5 Pro uses a tactile grip with ribbed corners to make it easy to hold and control.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The Jetspeed FT5 Pro Youth hockey stick only comes in the P28 blade pattern in flexes 30 and 40.
