CCM has seen a huge increase in the use of composite sticks at the NHL level, and this popularity has continued on in the retail world as well. The P2.9 junior composite goalie stick offers a lightweight and stiff platform that will allow younger goalies to get the most out of their stick while playing goalie.
The first thing that CCM improved on the P2.9 junior goalie stick compared to its predecessor the R1.9 junior goalie stick is the shaft. Featuring the same Sigmatax shaft as found on the Premier 2 goalie stick, the P2.9 has improved on shaft weight and strength immensely. This high tension carbon weave offers much better shaft compaction consistency as well, as a big step to improve durability of the shaft over time.
The rest of the P2.9 junior goalie stick features CCM’s composite structure with Zeroflux technology. Zeroflux is a technology that is added into the composite and does a good job of reducing the vibration that the goalie feels when the stick comes in contact with the puck.
The Premier P2.9 junior goalie stick also features a redesigned Stiktak grip on the shaft. They have shortened the grip zone on the back of the stick to allow for a quicker poke-check, rather than getting your blocker trapped before reaching the end of the stick.
The P2.9 junior goalie stick is one of the lightest sticks for junior sized goalies, and is sure to be one of the top performers as well.
