Intro & New Features
The HZRDUS Pro hockey stick is a Source for Sports exclusive from TRUE for the 2022 season. This stick includes upgraded features on a HZRDUS 3X shaft, meaning better performance at a budget price point.
Stick Flex Profile
The HZRDUS Pro features a low kick profile, which is ideal for quick release and up-close shots. This stick’s reduced weight from the 3X works better with the low-kick flex point to enhance the game for those who enjoy getting right in on the action.
Shaft Construction & Stiffness
The HZRDUS Pro uses TRUE’s patented Axenic Technology, which is the system they use to craft a truly seamless one-piece stick. In terms of shape, the Pro uses a square corner with double concave walls to combine comfort and speed when stickhandling.
Blade Construction
Tri Rib Tech (TRT) is a system involving specific rib placement in the blade near where it would take the most impact. The resulting blade is lighter, stabler, and much more rigid, and the blade on the HZRDUS Pro has been further upgraded for more durability and increased performance.
Graphics
With the HZRDUS family debut comes some brand-new graphics. The HZRDUS Pro combines the shine of the top-of-the-line HZRDUS PX with the unique colouration of the Source for Sports collection. The stick keeps the black and orange from the original, with a white colouration on the upper portion of the shaft. This version is also iridescent, giving it a similar look to the PX.
Grip
The HZRDUS Pro stick features a soft gloss grip on the shaft, making it easy to keep a good handle on your stick.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The HZRDUS Pro Junior stick is available in the following blade patterns: TC2.5, TC4, and MC. The pattern availability depends on the flex with the exception of TC2.5, which is available on all sticks.
TC2.5 is very similar to the TC2, but it is just a bit taller. It’s the best blade pattern for all-around play with a mid-curve style, and it is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
TC4 is a more aggressive stick pattern, often used by elite players and favoured by younger generations. This blade specializes in quick shots, but it can be a bit difficult to control. Young players will have very little problem raising the puck on the forehand with this pattern.
MC is a relatively traditional curve. A popular choice in the past, it excels greatly in stickhandling, quick wrist shots, and controlling snap shots.
