Read our TRUE PROJECT X HOCKEY STICK REVIEW
The TRUE Project X JR Hockey Stick is a brand new stick launching in 2021. This low kick-point stick has been designed with weight and durability in mind. TRUE has incorporated 2 new technologies in their new line-up of sticks; Precision Laminate Design (PLD), and Braided Aramid Tech (BAT). They also incorporated their Axenic Technology true one-piece design in the Project X sticks as well. By combining these 3 high level technologies into one stick, the Project X Stick provides elite performance and is TRUE’s lightest weight stick to date at 355 grams.
Shaft Construction
The TRUE Project X Stick is constructed with their new Precision Laminate Design (PLD), which is 25 layers of unidirectional carbon fiber throughout the shaft. These are optimized through the angles the fibers are placed and in which order they are layered. In more relatable terms, PLD gives you stiffness and impact strength in every layer of the shaft. This construction has also been optimized for weight reduction and durability, which you expect from a high-end, elite level hockey stick.
Blade Construction
Carrying over from the A Series stick lineup is BRT+ technology, used in the blade construction of the Project X Stick. BRT+ provides a strong, lightweight blade that pairs well with a low kick point shaft to maximize energy transfer through the puck. An added feature with this technology is increased heel durability, to help prevent against the bottom of the blade splitting.
Stick Flex Profile
The Project X stick has an optimized low kick-point and Axenic Technology, which is a compression molded true one-piece stick. Axenic Technology is a seamless design and gives the player a direct feel with the puck.
Grip
The grip of the TRUE Project X stick is a matte / gloss finish.
